The Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring TD haslaunched the Town & Village Renewal Scheme for 2020.
This year there are 2 strands to TV 2020
Town & Village ‘Standard Scheme’ focuses on interventions that can respond to the new challenges associated with Covid’19.
EOIs must be with LCC by Wednesday 8th July at 4pm by email to email@example.com or via post to Helen Denning, Leitrim County Council, Economic Development, Summerhaven House, Summerhill, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim.
6 proposals can be selected for development and submitted to the Department. This year funding has increased to 90%, 10% remaining match funding to be contributed by LA and/or Community and/or Philanthropic contributions. BIK will be at a set rate of €14p/h and time sheets for this will be provided by the department. Minimum grant available is €20,000 max €100,000. A higher maximum of €200,000 will be considered for a small number of projects where a robust case can be made demonstrating exceptional benefit to a town.
Town & Village Accelerated Measure: The focus is on immediate interventions that can be delivered in the short-term to assist Town & villages to adapt to Coivd’19
There are two Rounds – Round 1 closing date for applications to be with LCC is Wednesday, 17th June at 4pm – Round 2 closing date is Wednesday 15th July at 4pm. Applications by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or via post to Helen Denning, Leitrim County Council, Economic Development, Summerhaven House, Summerhill, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim. 5 applications per round can be put forward. 90% funding. Maximum level of funding is €25,000 per project, with the possibility to increase to €40,000 for a small number of high impact projects (LA can submit 1 high impact project up to €40,000 per each round of funding)
