Update: Closing date for Board nominations extended to Sun. Dec. 8th 2019
Recruitment for Board Trustees Now Open
Volunteer Ireland is delighted to announce that Leitrim will have a full service Volunteer Centre in 2020. The Volunteer Centre will help people who want to volunteer in their community to find suitable roles and will help local organisations to recruit. It will also provide a range of other services including Garda vetting and training in management.
To date, Leitrim has had a Volunteering Information Service operating with very limited time and staff resources, aiming to simply maintain a website and access to the national database I-VOL. Leitrim is one of eight counties that has not had a full Centre and is now finally getting one – along with Cavan, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Roscommon, Waterford and Wexford.
Recruiting A Board of Trustees
Recruitment is now open for trustees of the board. Trustees with a range of skills are being sought to drive the future of volunteering in Leitrim.
Anyone with an interest is encouraged to consider joining the board of Leitrim Volunteer Centre. This is a unique opportunity to join at the beginning the process and have a real and meaningful impact on volunteering in the area.
More information on the recruitment process is available here.
