Rehab Group logoTransport is one of the main issues affecting people who have disabilities and the issue featured strongly at the recent Rehab Group National Advocacy Conference on 17th April. Delegates at the Conference heard the findings of a survey of people who used Rehab Group services. While the findings showed that most people (76%) were happy with the transport services organised by Rehab Group which brought people to and from their centres, many people highlighted bigger problems with public transport services and the cost of transport for people with disabilities.

Rehab want to identify what the main transport access issues are and campaign to get transport conditions for people with disabilities improved. Rehab have set up a national ‘Access to Transport’ survey, which looks at the wider issues such as access to public transport, the cost of public transport and other transport issues.

If you have any queries or comments about the survey, please contact Cathy Moore, Head of Public Affairs at Rehab Group at publicaffairs@rehab.ie or 01 2057339.

The survey will close on Friday 1st June and is available at the link below.
