Do you want to take action for the environment? This gathering is the perfect opportunity to meet others who are interested in, and working for, positive change for our future.
Together we will share knowledge and experience, as well as learn more about engaging in climate dialogue, working to expand the conversation, and turning conversation into action. It’s also a perfect introduction to Local Environmental Networks for those who are new to them. Everyone with an interest in climate, environment, and a sustainable future is welcome!
When: Saturday the 25th of May 2019
Where: Bundoran Community Centre
What Time: 10.50 to 14.00
What will be happening at the event?
Hosted in the seaside town of Bundoran, the day will begin at 10.50am with a look at projects from Environmental Networks and other groups that can be replicated on a local level. Catherine O’Toole from the Irish Environmental Network will introduce work of local networks, including the Environmental Networks of Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim. The morning will also see an introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals, and we will wrap up with a Q&A with all speakers.
In the afternoon there will be a biodiversity workshop exploring biodiversity and local actions that we can take to protect and create it. Afterwards we will introduce the local groups and projects who are hosting stalls at the event. Lunch will be served and will provide a chance to talk to stallholders and to each other.
We are really looking forward to meeting you all at this regional event, which we hope will be both enjoyable and fruitful for all participants.
