Men’s Health week (MHW) is an annual event to encourage men to take a more proactive role in managing their health, and to promote awareness about different health topics for men.

The message this year is #menshealthmatters and we are encouraging you to ‘make the time’ and‘take the time’ to do something practical to make a positive difference to the health of the men and boys in your life.
Helen Deely, Acting Assistant National Director of HSE Health & Wellbeing believes:

Men’s Health week is co-ordinated by the Men’s Health Forum in Ireland (funded by HSE, Health and Wellbeing). This work is part of the on-going delivery by the HSE of health and wellbeing targeting men’s health through the Action Plan for Men’s Health: Healthy Ireland- Men (2017-2021)
HSE, Health and Wellbeing promotes the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviours across the Irish population and is a leading voice in the area of chronic disease prevention. The area also funds a range of organisations like the Men’s Health Forum to assist in reaching out to many different target groups as part of our implementation of Healthy Ireland.
