Green Energy Grants for Community and Businesses

Leitrim Local Community Development Committee is seeking applications for the installation of Renewable Energy Technologies in Communities and Businesses across County Leitrim.

 

 

Support will be provided for the installation of Solar Water, Solar Electric (Photovoltaic), Wind, Hydro, Heat Pumps and Biomass Technologies. Support is also available for complementary technologies including energy management systems and battery storage when installed in conjunction with a renewable technology. Leitrim Local Community Development Committee are particularly interested in organisations who are considering installing Photovoltaic Systems.

 

Grant support of 75% is available for community organisations while 50% is available for Businesses up to a maximum grant of €200,000 per applicant.

 

There is expected to be significant interest in this scheme. Community applications will be evaluated as part of a competitive targeted call whereas business applications will be dealt with on a first-come, first-reviewed process. All projects must score in excess of 65% to be considered for funding.
