What Is The EIL Explore programme?
The EIL Explore Programme supports participants with an interest in global issues to travel abroad for the purpose of volunteering, cultural immersion, or language education through a variety of awards. This year EIL Explore will sponsor 45 funded overseas learning opportunities to applicants on a variety of issues/topics.
What Awards Are Available?
There are two main groups of award for Under eighteens and over eighteens.
The under 18 years awards are:
- Japan Award x 1
- Ecuador Award x 1
- Vermont Awards x 6
- Secondary School in Europe x 4
- International Summer School x 2
The over years 18 awards are:
- Cork Institute of Technology Award x 2
- Mexico Award x 1
- Access Student Award x 5
- Mature Student Award x 2
- NUIG ALIVE Award x 2
- Global Awareness Programme x 4
- Hong Kong Exchange (Foróige) x 10
Who Are These Awards Aimed At?
These awards are targeted primarily at people who under ordinary circumstances would not have the opportunity to travel abroad for social or financial reasons; and people who are active volunteers in their own communities.
