Are you a small organisation with less than five staff? Or perhaps your community group, as many are, is 100% volunteer-led. If you or your volunteers are in need of training, then you may be in luck Together with European partners, The Wheel is developing an e-learning platform especially for small non-profits.
What Will The Free Training Cover?
Their SCOPE training platform will cover the following key topics:
• Governance
• Fundraising
• Financial Management
• Risk Management
• Communications
Modules will provide entry level information and training on important matters related to running a nonprofit. One of the goals of SCOPE is to provide a quality training offering to small organisations that may face economic or geographic barriers to accessing traditional face-to-face training.
How Many Groups Will Be Involved?
In order to test the platform, The Wheel will be running two pilot phases in Ireland. In total they want to involve fifty organisations in the trial, with a view to launching the programme fully in Autumn 2020.
If I Sign Up, What Is Involved?
You will work though all five modules (listed above) as a part of the package, each one taking approximately 60 minutes to complete.
When Will The Pilot Training Course Take Place?
The Wheel will be seeking pilot participants between November 2019 and May 2020. The main priority for the trial is that you can commit to piloting the platform and providing feedback on the five online training modules during a 12 week period between November 2019 and May 2020.
