Time to Move is a free information event for guidance counsellors, youth information workers and those involved in advising young people.

This event explores the possibilities of studying, working, training and volunteering in Europe. Speakers from the Eurodesk Network, Leargas, the National Centre for Guidance in Education and special guest Mr Ruairi McKiernan (co-founder of Spunout.ie) will address the attendees. Light lunch provided from 1.30pm.

Target group:

–     Guidance counsellors in second level schools, AEGI adult guidance counsellors,  youth information workers, Europe Direct Information Centres, EURES, DSP, ETB’s, , organisations working with migrants and refugees, librarians, TY coordinators, ETB youth officers,  Youth reach, INTREO offices, LES, Leader Partnership companies, disability services, National Learning Network, partnerships

Aims and objectives:

–     To bring guidance counsellors, youth information workers and other professionals working with young people at local/regional level together to enable/enhance  personal contacts and encourage/plan future cooperation at local level  for the benefit of young people.

–     To explore the impact of a period of mobility (volunteering, education/ training, work) on personal and professional development, using an evidence based approach.

–     To provide information on opportunities for mobility for all young people ( including those with less opportunities).

–     To share inspirational testimonies and personal stories by returned EVS volunteers, students who have studied in Europe and those who have worked abroad.
