Decade of Centenaries – Public Call for Submissions
Between 2018 and 2023, the State will recall significant historical events that took place between 1918 and 1923 on the road to the foundation of the State, as well as important themes of that period. The Government is supported in its approach by the Expert Advisory Group on Commemorations and the commemorative programme for the second half of the Decade of Centenaries will be inclusive, respectful and authentic, with the objective of promoting a deeper understanding of differing perspectives on this sensitive period in our shared history.
To assist the Expert Advisory Group on Commemorations in advising Government on the State’s approach to the commemoration of significant historical events that took place between 1918 and 1923, the Department of Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht is inviting your suggestions as part of a public consultation process. Details on how to make a submission are available at:
Submissions are made directly to the Department of Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht and the closing date for the receipt of submissions is Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
