Mayo, Sligo Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB) have opened their Community Education Scheme for 2018. The Scheme provides grant funding is open to Community and Voluntary Groups based in Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim.
Supporting Communities
Community Education refers to adult education and learning generally outside the formal education sector. It aims to empower and support communities. It is firmly community-based. Your local group takes responsibility for organising courses and deciding on programme content. The scheme enables disadvantaged adults to avail of community education at minimal or no cost.
There are certain things the grants won’t cover so make sure you look at the guidelines before making an application. Sports organisations and youth clubs may not apply, for example.
