As you are aware, Child & Youth Mental Health is at the top of everyone’s agenda.
Children and families in Sligo and Leitrim need to be aware of what services there are to support them from a mental health perspective.
Two Mental Health Networking & Information Events are planned for the end of 2019:
- 2nd Dec in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon from 3pm; and
- 11th Dec in the Clayton Hotel, Sligo from 3pm.
This is your opportunity to gather information about mental health services, activities, interventions and programmes so that at the earliest possible opportunity you can inform children and families of the supports and services available in Sligo and Leitrim to support their mental health needs.
Very often people say there’s nothing to support children and young people around their mental health and as services we know that’s not true. There are services but knowing what these are and where they may be available is not always easy to determine. The event will be short and swift.
Information Sharing
Sligo Leitrim CYPSC is asking services to bring posters/flyers/leaflets/pull-ups to the Mental Health Networking/Information Events to share. There is an opportunity to make a short presentation, either a talk or a very short power point, to outline your mental health supports – services are asked not to describe the range of services they offer as the focus is on mental health.
If you don’t provide a service, this is an opportunity for you to learn what is available and who delivers this.
Please advise CYPSC of your willingness to attend and/or to present information about your services/programme/action/activity/intervention in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim by
