Help record Ireland’s hedgehogs
NUI Galway researchers and the National Biodiversity Data Centre are collaborating on an Irish Hedgehog Survey and they are looking for your help. There are two elements to this survey. They are asking you to submit sightings of hedgehogs to a dedicated recording page on the NBDC website. The second element of the survey will take place during the summer where volunteers can conduct a survey for the presence of hedgehogs in their garden using their own camera or a footprint tunnel which they can make themselves at home. Dig it Kids Summer Camp
Dig it Kids have been providing fun hands-on learning for young primary school children for 10 years and are running an online summer camp this summer. The camp runs for 2 hours each morning, Tuesdays to Fridays started 7th and 14th July, and has a different history theme each day. Children make a historical craft, guided step by step through the process. History is absorbed through fun quizzes, online chats, and by listening to some legendary storytelling and lot of giggles – all designed to bring history alive and be very engaging.
